AVIOS is a self-help organisation which works for the benefit of blind & partially sighted people employed, training or having experience in office-based occupations. Full membership is open to such people who should be registered blind or registered partially sighted. Members receive a bi-monthly cassette magazine of general information & news about AVIOS, reduced fees for AVIOS training events and exhibitions, occasional pamphlets are produced on specific subjects.
AVIOS aims to:-
- promote employment of blind and partially sighted people in office-related work,
- maintain awareness of developments in new technology,
-liaise with those bodies and agencies by consulting with them on the needs and concerns of its members.
