Citizen Advocacy Trust In Gloucester

Comment:

The Gloucester Citizen Advocacy Trust has been set up to help anyone in the area who has learning disabilities and who needs help in speaking up for themselves or who needs someone to speak on their behalf about things that affect their life. An advocate can help you to make choices, go with you to meetings, write letters or make telephone calls for you. An advocate can help to support you or represent you at meetings or tribunals, and can help you to find out about other services. An advocate cannot offer legal services like a solicitor; they will not make decisions for you and it is not a befriending service, but they will try to help you as much as possible. The Trust is always seeking to recruit new volunteers as advocates; full training and support is provided.
