Divorced Children is a registered charity which can provide free counselling for children whose parents are going through a divorce or separation. They also provide advice and support for parents on how to tell their children about a separation/divorce and how to help their children through it. They can also provide pre-marital counselling for couples who come from broken homes who may be worried about 'history repeating itself' in their relationship. This last service incurs a charge.
Divorced Children currently has counsellors in the South East of England, but will offer a service to people in other parts of the country by finding local counsellors willing to work on their behalf. They are currently looking to set up a more permanent service in Gloucestershire and have a web site going on-line in the Autumn of 2000.
