The 'Alice' is a 62ft narrowboat which has been designed for one wheelchair user and accompanying family. It includes 2 lifts, large shower & shower wheelchair, ceiling hoist & a fingertip control pad. There are berths for up to 6 people & a fully equipped galley. The 'Charlotte II' is a newly commissioned 55ft widebeamed riverboat, to accommodate up to six passengers. Fully equpped as the "Alice" with a disabled steering system to enable the wheelchair user to take charge of the 'tiller'. The boats are based at Upton-on-Severn in Worcestershire for easy access to the Severn & the Avon as well as the Sharpness Canal & the Midlands inland canal network. The hire fee, as above, includes the services of a qualified skipper on the first day, & this can be extended at an extra cost.
