This is an Association which speaks for all concerned with herbal medicine and is an alliance of all those with herbal interests. Its objectives are - to defend the right of the public to choose herbal remedies & to be able to obtain them freely - to encourage wider knowledge & recognition of the value of herbal medicine - to advance the science & practice of herbal medicine by modern techniques - to promote high standards of quality & safety in herbal remedies & to foster research into phytotherapy. Publications are printed from time to time including the British Herbal Pharmaopoeia, the Britiah Herbal Compendium plus A Guide to Traditional Herbal Medicines.
