Cheltenham Council for Voluntary Service is an independent charity, affiliated to a national network - NACVS. CCVS supports and develops the local voluntary sector by offering advice and information, training and resources. It also liaises with the statutory sector, promoting diverse sector concerns and views. Thr Resource base includes a photocopier, fax, IT equipment, internet access, laminator, binders etc. Flip charts, TV/video unit, induction loop system, OHP, screen and slide projector may be borrowed by members. There is a small library of directories, handbooks and periodicals, and databases of local organisations, statistical information and sources of funding. The training room is available for hire on a sessional basis and there are concessions on training courses for members. The Resource Officer is Kate Gregory and the Training Development worker is Anne Mitchard.
