Action 19 Plus is a consortium of voluntary groups and individuals concerned about the provision of good quality personal support & community care services to disabled people aged 19 & over. Its aims are - To empower disabled people, families, carers & other advocates by joint initiative, including training, education & the dissemination of information - To negotiate, lobby & campaign for good quality personal support & community care services. Write to Action 19 Plus for further information & details about applying for membership. They produce a 'Guide to getting what you need from your Local Authority at 19+' which costs £5.00 to disabled people, parents, carers and advocates, £10.00 to others. They also produce a quarterly newsletter which is currently free of charge. See GUiDE drawer Special Needs/Education for a copy of Action 19+
