The aims of the Trust are to further medical research into metabolic diseases in children & the pre-natal diagnosis of these disorders. There is a volunteer befriending network which puts parents in touch with others, where metabolic disease affects their lives. They can provide information on a number of metabolic disorders. Also makes grants & allowances for medical treatment & care of children suffering from metabolic diseases to parents, hospitals, homes & institutes. A range of publications are available, including a newsletter which is published 3 times a year. The Group holds a number of activities throughout the year including an Annual Conference, Area Meetings and satellite meetings for specific conditions. Climb has a young person's service, including a penfriend scheme, a bereavement service, helpline and other member services such as flowers by post and a tree planting scheme.
