Al-Anon offers understanding and support for families and friends of problem drinkers. Alateen, a part of Al-Anon, is for teenagers aged 12-20 whose lives are, or have been, affected by an alcoholic. Over 900 groups meet throughout the UK and Eire. The meetings are confidential and there are no dues or fees, although there is often a voluntary collection to cover expenses. Contact the above number for information and local meeting details. Al-Anon members are often available to give talks to professionals and students.
