Employment Opportunities is a charity set up in 1980 to help people with disabilities find work. From initial operations in the South East of England, they have expanded to 17 regional centres around the country, including Scotland and Wales. The emphasis is in providing a practical service, which takes the form of intensive, person to person careers counselling, involving advice, support and guidance. Practical support is also offered to employers. Their ability to personalise programmes and spend as much time as necessary with an individual is an important factor in their clients' success. They are particularly well equipped to assist more demanding cases, where agencies may not be able to offer the time or intensive service necessary. They are open to people with any kind of disability, including mental health and learning disabilities.
