The British Red Cross gives skilled and impartial care to people in need and crisis in their own homes and in the community, at home or abroad, in peace and in war. A range of services are offered by local Branches including Medical Equipment Loan, Transport and Escort of people who are too frail or disabled to travel alone, First Aid Cover at public events and Therapeutic care for people in hospitals, etc. Some Branches provide additional services eg. Daycare, Skin Camouflage, Homecare and Transport.
