Abbeyfield Very Sheltered Houses are for those who are lonely and no longer able to or wish to cater and house-keep for themselves. Two cooked meals a day are provided, and the house-keeper is available at most times. Residents furnish their own rooms. Houses in Stow-on-the- Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water have ensuite bathrooms available. This is a non profit making national charity, and each house is independently run. The houses have all bell pull alarm systems
