Aims to ensure the quality of life, maintenance of standards, and diversity of provision for people with a learning disability. Information, advice and help are given to caring and member organisations. Distance learning training packages are available to care staff (NVQ consortium, assists workplaces with the production of NVQs and work based assessment). Regional meetings are organised to promote good care practice, together with representations to government on policy relating to learning disabilities.
