British Gas will visit any chronically ill, disabled or elderly British Gas supplied customer in their home, to give information and advice regarding gas safety. Difficulties addressed may include a visual impairment, a hearing impairment, mobility issues, access, memory loss and arthritis in the hands. In addition disabled, chronically ill or elderly customers may wish to be registered on a confidential Energy Care register of special needs. They can do free safety checks of gas appliances owned by the customer and adaptors for gas appliances.
