The Disabled Parents Network is an amalgamation of Parentability and Parents Too. It is a national organisation of disabled people who are parents or who hope to become parents, their families and allies. The network welcomes people with physical or sensory impairments, learning difficulties, long-term illnesses and people with mental health issues. Disabled Parents Network believes that disabled people have the right to have children and that they should be properly equipped, supported and resourced for each stage of parenting. DPN puts disabled parents and would-be parents in touch with each other. You can choose whether to make contact and with whom. It can be helpful to contact someone who has faced similar problems and has overcome them. There are also local support groups. If there is not one near you and you would like to set one up, we can support you. DPN runs training courses for professionals and parents. Members receive a newsletter four times a year.
