BBC Children in Need is a national grant-making trust which distributes between £20-£25 million a year to help children in need in the UK.
BBC Children in Need helps children aged 18 and under in the UK, those whose disadvantage include any kind of disability, behavioural or psychological problems, those living in poverty or situations of deprivation, illness, distress, abuse or neglect. Grant applications can only be considered if they fall within those categories. It welcomes applications for good quality projects which show a clear focus on improving children's lives. BBC Children in Need holds an annual appeal for supporters to raise money through fun events. Fund-raising pack also available with ideas and how to organise an event.
