Abbeyfield is a charity, run by volunteers, set up to provide older people with an alternative to living alone. This house is home to 7 residents, who need to need fit and able to take care of themselves and their bedsit. A resident housekeeper looks after the house and cooks two main meals a day and is on hand for emergencies, although no personal or nursing care is provided.
