Organisation: White House Resource Centre

Comment:

The White House Resource Centre is an Adult Mental Health Resource Centre that provides community support for people with mental health problems living in the North Cotswolds. The core feature of the White House is the Drop In held on Tuesday at Moreton-in-Marsh. This gives people the chance to call in to discuss issues relevant to their mental health and to take part in the activities available. Training is offered in computer-keyboard skills, and arts and craft skills on Wednesdays. Anxiety management and relaxation training is provided as need dictates. Other therapeutic groups are offered.
The White House provides Day Centre and Community Support for working age adults (eighteen to sixty five years) who have a severe and enduring mental health problem and who live in the North Cotswolds. A range of recreational and therapeutic groups run through the year. They are working to a 'Recovery Model' of care so each person is allocated a named worker to help identify goals and offer individual support.
