The Collies provides residential short breaks for children and young people who live in the Forest of Dean. Three children can stay at one time with a fourth bed available in case of emergency. The resource aims to provide a culturally-sensitive service which respects each child as an individual and encourages the enjoyment of a new range of activities and relationships. The Collies is run by NCH in partnership with Gloucestershire Social Services and Gloucester Health Authority, and referrals must come via the Social Services.
The Collies also operates an Outreach Service, which workis with young people in the community.
Both Services are registered with NCSC.
