Established in the 1950's, this voluntary Day Centre is held at Saint John's Church Hall, Churchdown. Held fortnightly on Tuesdays between 10:30am and 3:00pm approximately, it provides social contact and gentle activities (such as bingo and raffles) for older housebound or frail people in the Churchdown and Innsworth area. The maximum number is twenty five people.
A freshly prepared lunch (cooked on the premises) is provided at midday and transport by minibus is provided if required. Cost is £2.70 per day (including lunch and raffle), plus 20p for bingo and £1.40 for the minibus. The atmosphere is friendly and everyone is welcome.
