The British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF)is an independent charity dedicated to providing the companionship of radio communication. The charity provides radios, radio cassette recorders, and CD radio cassette recorders to all people over eight years of age who are registered blind or partially sighted, and who are unable to afford to purchase for themselves. The BWBF offers some large control sets on free loan (for those people who cannot manage small control knobs) and now the new trading arm, BWBF Direct is also offering them for sale to anyone.
The sets are the Harmony radio-cassette recorder, the RP28 Radio with pre-set facility, the Duet FM / DAB digital radio and the Symphony CD / radio cassette recorder (prices available on request).
