Comment: | Tewkesbury District Community Buses are provided for use by various organisations within the Tewkesbury Borough Council catchment area. They have two minibuses available to any organisations within the borough. Currently they are being used for any journey the organisations wish to make including local luncheon clubs, shopping trips and social functions.
One minibus is based at Stoke Orchard to serve the north catchment area, and the other is based at Longford to serve the southern area. The use of the buses by the organisation is dependent on volunteer drivers.
Any person over twenty five with a full clean driving licence can become a volunteer driver, subject to them passing an appropriate test, which can be arranged by the company secretary. They can also arrange for any volunteer driver to have a trial drive with an experienced driver. |
