Comment:

The National Blind Gardeners Club (NBGC) is a partnership project between Thrive and the RNIB, funded by the Big Lottery Fund. The club brings together gardeners who are blind or partially sighted to share information, tips and techniques. The club is supported by 'Come Gardening' magazine, available in accessible formats. The NBGC also runs day and residential courses in practical gardening techniques, provides a gardening library in accessible formats, including tactile diagrams, and gives advice to individuals.
They also run the 'Blind Gardener of the Year' competition to recognise the skills and enthusiasm of blind gardeners.
