Comment: | Alexander House provides residential care for eight adults with a learning disability, supported by suitably trained staff.
Residents have a single bedroom and are supported to furnish their own rooms according to their own taste. Within the home there is a large communal lounge, dining/recreational room.
Residents initiate and develop life skills, such as hygiene, grooming, shopping, cooking and travel. They also determine daily running of home, cleaning, planning menus, cooking, budgeting, decorating and leisure activities. The needs of each resident are agreed with the resident, the Keyworker, family and relevant professional.
The home is situated centrally with the college and town centre all within walking distance. |
