Equality and Human Rights Commission Disability Helpline - England (Disability). This is one of several helplines run by the Equality and Human Rights Commission; this one is specifically for matters concerning disability.

On 1st. October 2007 the three previous equality commissions merged into the new Equality and Human Rights Commission. They were:
+ the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE);
+ the Disability Rights Commission (DRC);
+ the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC).
The websites of these commissions have also been incorporated into the new Equality and Human Rights Commission website.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission champions equality and human rights for all, working to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality, protect human rights and to build good relations, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to participate in society.
