Comment: | Tewkesbury Youth Centre in Link Road, Tewkesbury offers a wide range of opportunities for young people from eleven to twenty, but mainly targets thirteen to nineteen year olds. The current centre opening times are:
+ Mondays - 5:30 to 7:15pm (School Years seven and eights group) and 7:30 to 10:00pm (Seniors thirteen to nineteen years);
+ Tuesdays - 7:30 to 9:30pm (Five Steps Special Needs Group - see separate record);
+ Wednesdays - 6:00 to 7:30pm (Young Carers Group) and 7:30 to 9:30pm (School Years nine and ten youth group)
+ Thursdays - 7:00 to 9:30pm (Seniors thirteen to nineteen years).
The Centre has qualified youth work staff who work in partnership with Connexions Tewkesbury within Tewkesbury School providing a Retracking Project on Tuesday afternoons during term time. The Centre also has a team of experienced Street based youth workers who make contact with young people on the streets in and around Northway and discuss local issues with them and plan programmes of youth activities. |
