Comment: | The District Nursing Services are managed by the Community Services department. Anyone with a management issue or complaint should contact this Department. District Nursing provides nursing care for people in their own homes. Referrals to the service can be made from anyone - a professional, neighbour, friend or relative. When asked for help, the District Nurse visits the home and assesses the situation, discussing any treatment or care needed. District Nurses work closely with GPs and other agencies and can be contacted via the GP surgery or their own base, or if necessary through the Community Services Manager. The Department also manages the Health Visitors service who offer support to families with children under school age and promote health education. |
