To this end, they assess and treat people perpetrating and affected by child sexual abuse and contribute to research into developing effective interventions. They contribute to legislation and to policy and procedure reviews concerned with safeguarding children.

These include contracts with agencies concerned with young people who exhibit sexual behaviour problems.
For the Criminal Justice System they provide individually tailored assessment and intervention programmes for young offender institutions, consultancy and training regarding male offenders, and assessment, intervention and consultancy for the Prison and Probation Services in relation to women offenders.
