Organisation:Disability Matters

Comment:

Disability Matters was formed in April 2006 by a group of disabled people resident in the South Cotswolds area of Gloucestershire. The group produces a monthly on-line magazine, the Law and Benefit Review, which is directed towards all disabled and elderly people; this has been running for five years as a hard copy magazine, but is now also available on the website.
Disability Matters provides information and advice on most matters concerning disability and the elderly. They keep a large, constantly updated, database on most matters concerning the problems that both disabled and elderly people may encounter such as access, pensions, benefits, care, mobility, transport, and as the Law and Benefit review shows - just about everything else.
The Chairman and Disability Matters are members of a number of national and international groups who support both disabled and elderly people, such as RADAR, Scope, British Council of Disabled People, National Centre for Disabled Living and UK Disability Forum. They also have associations to groups such as Help the Aged.
