Comment: | The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) was founded in 1972 as an interest group for people involved in the practice and theory of behaviour therapy. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is an approach to help people experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties. The basis of CBT is that what people think affects how they feel emotionally and also alters what they do. They provide information on CBT and mental health difficulties.
Many CBT practitioners work in the NHS. However, some areas still have limited resources. Also, some practitioners provide CBT privately. Contact BABCP to find BABCP accredited therapist in your area. Please note that other practitioners offering CBT may be registered by other reputable bodies |
