Comment: | Gloucestershire Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC) respresents all the community pharmacists in the County. LPC's wwere established with the NHS in 1948 and are statutory bodies that must be consulted by local Health Authorities about issues concerning the terms of service and contracts of community pharmacists. All health professionals are repesented by their own local representative committees.
In Gloucestershire, the LPC is composed of fifteen members - nine elected from independent chemists in the County, three elected as representatives of employee pharmacists. In addition, each of the major multiple pharmacy companies (Boots, Lloyds and the National Co-operative Chemists) are represented by nominees. For clarification of any issues surrounding community pharmacy services in Gloucestershire, please discuss them first with your local pharmacist. Further help and guidance can be obtained by contacting the LPC by phone or e-mail. |
