Comment: | The Forest of Dean U3A was formed in 1990, and welcomes new members, current membership being over one hundred and fifty. No qualifications are needed and none are given. Group convenors and administrative staff all give their time freely for the common good of all members. There are various activity groups which meet at various times, mornings and afternoons, throughout the month; these include computing, painting, walking, music, gardening, scrabble and many more.
Open general meetings, with a speaker, are held at Lydney Rugby Club on the third Thursday of the month. A Lunch club meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 12noon.
