Comment: | Extra Care Sheltered Housing (ECSH) has carers on site Twenty four hours a day with a scheme manager service from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Care is provided by one care agency (contracted by Social Service), who are based on site. The agency provides care during the day for all service users who have been assessed as needing care from social services as well as a night service. The night service can also be accessed by all residents in emergencies.
To access ECSH you must meet both social services and housing criteria. To find out your eligibility contact the relevant housing department.
Gloucestershire County Council currently has three sites which fall into this category. They are:
the Springs and Watermead in Lydney;
Hanover Court in Cinderford;
(both Forest of Dean District Council)
St. Catherine's Court in Gloucester
(Gloucester City Council).
