Comment: | The Cheltenham Federation of Tenants, Leaseholders and Residents was originally formed in 1997 as the Tenants Umbrella Group. They are registered as a company limited by guarantee. They aim to bring together residents living in the Cheltenham Borough Council area, and to promote consultation and participation between community service users and all public and private bodies who provide services to communities. To do this they:
+ promote tenants' and leaseholders' rights;
+ provide information and advice;
+ organise an annual conference;
+ run the Annual Garden Competition and Annual Community Awards;
+ support tenants, leaseholders and residents associations;
+ provide training;
+ provide free broadband internet access;
+ produce three editions of the Cheltenham Federation News each year;
+ take up issues on behalf of tenants and leaseholders;
+ run an estate agency style homes exchange shop. |
