Comment:

The Patient Information Forum (PiF) is an independent group of organisations united by a common purpose - the development, production, and dissemination of high-quality information for patients, carers, and their families.
Established under the auspices of the King's Fund in 1997, PiF supports the need for patients to have high quality information to enable them to become more involved in their healthcare.
They represent no particular group - instead they look to help organisations, and individuals, source and share best practice.
Membership of PiF is open to all those with an interest in health information themes.
Current, and invited members, include NHS trusts, patient advice and liaison services (PALS), NHS, patient and voluntary organisations, commercial companies, health care professionals, academic institutions and individuals.
