Comment: | The Adoption Team deals with people who want to be general adopters in Gloucestershire. They are happy to hear from people who may be interested in adopting a child or a sibling group, not "step-parent adoption". Working within Gloucestershire Children's and Young People's Directorate the Adoption Officers are Mary Wiltshire, Liz Pickering, Ruth Bently, Jill Farrelly, Yasmine Al-Meshhedani and Clodagh Howes. Voicemail in operation at times, messages collected regularly. (They do not deal with fostered children - this is dealt with by the Gloucestershire Fostering Recruitment Team - see separate record).
The Adoption Support Service is part of the Adoption Team and provides a range of support services to adoptive families and birth families of adopted children.; they can also provide access to information and counselling.
