Comment: | The Diamond Club is a unique club, bringing students and young adults with learning disabilities together, accessing local leisure provision. It promotes inclusion and social development for the participants and additional respite care for families and carers.
Activities include bowling, skating, the cinema, aerobics, swimming and workshops. Each volunteer will receive training, project information and a copy of the guidelines. Two references will be followed up for each volunteer.
Due to the vulnerability of the clients who attend this project all volunteers will be required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check. Clients are referred to the project by the Young Persons' Service. |
