Podsmead Neighbourhood Project provides support and services to the local community. Staff can help with welfare benefit checks, form filling and debt management. There is a home visiting service available to those who are unable to come and visit the shop.
There is a learning centre based at Ramblers Community Centre with floating support for families and older peoples needs, and a gardening service in the Spring and Summer.
They have the following departments:
+ health (eg complementary therapy);
+ education (eg flexible learning);
+ community (involvement eg activities);
+ Young Peoples Project;
+ Help the Aged Your Money Matters Programme, providing advice and support on money management and debt advice for older people (fifty plus)in the local community and throughout Gloucester (see separate record).
Other opening times:
+ various evening sessions open to young people;
+ trainee money advice workers - appointments available Monday to Thursday;
+ a drop in general advice morning every Friday; 9:30am to 12:30pm.
