Cerebra - for Brain Injured Children and Young People was formerly called RESCUE. Cerebra has two independent areas of activity:
(1). It carries out and sponsors research aimed at reducing the prevalence and effects of brain injury in infants, and -
(2). It operates a parent network (called Parent Support) which offers information-based help to families of brain injured children, as well as parent to parent contact , a grants scheme, lending library, holiday home, SALT scheme and a wills and trusts scheme.
A quarterly newsletter is published. Cerebra also runs a postal lending library of books on the subject of child development, behaviour, learning difficulties, dyspraxia etc. A full list can be obtained from Cerebra.
