Taurus Crafts is a craft / visitors centre on the outskirts of Lydney. They offer supported work placements which includes work based skills training and a programme of basic skills for people whose needs are not well met through main stream education and training. People have been funded in a variety of ways including social services as day care placements, New Deal, ESF, and ACET projects and they are partners of the Newstart Network.
People can choose to work in a variety of environments including retails, horticulture, administration, pottery, stained glass, catering where they can gain confidence and grow in independence.

They also offer a range of accommodation from situations within small registered care homes as part of an extended family, to one and two bedroom flats with a support system attached.
Fees are typically as follows for day placements: weekly fee £144.00; daily £34.25; hourly £8.95. Day and Residential, care inclusive, ranges from £500.00 to £900.00 per week.
