Comment:

The local Fire and Rescue Service offers free checks on child car seats. Visits by trained officers to playgroups and other community groups are also available.
Local Fire Stations can give free advice on Domestic Fire Safety. The Fire Safety Office can arrange visits to people's homes to discuss problems relating to fire prevention, fitting smoke alarms and escape plans. For more details, phone 01452-753333 and ask for a Fire Safety Visit.
Advice is available for parents, guardians and health professionals dealing with children with an unhealthy fascination for fire - this can range from toddlers 'playing' with fire to teenagers and young adults arrested for arson. For help in these cases, contact Shirley Jones on 01452-753293 ([email protected]).
