Comment:

Play Train provides training and consultancy for organisations working with children aged three to twelve. They carry out research and development projects , bringing fresh ideas to bear on key issues in work with children and young people.
Play train is an independent non-for-profit agency founded in 1981.
Their aim is to increase opportunities for children and young people to be creative and express their identity in all kinds of settings. They promote inclusion and are committed to equal opportunities for all children and young people, and work to implement Articles 31 and 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Play Train promotes and encourages creativity in all out-of-school settings, including early years. Children need time to independently explore the tactile and sensuous qualities of materials like clay, paint, charcoal, dough and junk. Through their free play, children will discover for themselves the qualities of these materials. An experience they have discovered for themselves will mean far more to them than any amount of direction from an adult.
