Comment: | The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability is a voluntary independent hospital and home in Putney, in south west London. It is registered by the Health Care Commission to provide assessment, rehabilitation, long term care and respite for adults (over eighteen) who have complex or profound disability as a result of neurological disease or damage.
The main groups treated are acquired brain injury, stroke, trauma, anoxia, low awareness, minimally conscious, vegetative states, locked in, degenerative neuro disease, spinal cord disease and high spinal damage. Long term care is available in a number of specialist units including one for young people with disability and another for those suffering from Huntington's disease. The Admissions Manager is available to discuss any aspect in more detail. It is possible to make direct external referrals from outside the Hospital to the Dental Surgery, Technology Clinic and Special Seating Service. |
