Comment: | The former project Ability Explorations has switched from Ability-UK to the national charity Guideposts Trust. To mark the move, they have changed their name to Guideposts Unlimited. Guideposts Unlimited offers disabled people opportunities to participate in activities that are outside their previously accepted life-style. The activities are wide ranging to meet different needs, aptitudes, interests and expectations.
Guideposts Unlimited believes that adventurous, challenging and creative experiences should be made accessible to everyone, offering inspiration for personal change, increased confidence, new skills and lasting memories that can influence daily life. They organise empowering client led expeditions, from canoeing to horse riding, from artistic weekends to mountain treks.
Guideposts Unlimited particularly focuses on the special needs of people who have a physical disability, learning difficulty, mental health problem, a sensory impairment or functional disorder. |
