Comment: | The Good Neighbours Scheme is provided for residents of Down Ampney. Volunteers are able to provide transport to and from medical appointments. Other services offered include prescription collection, help with form filling, and help for people coming out of hospital. Occasional hot meals are provided in case of illness and sitting service for disabled people. Users pays volunteers - £1.00 for a hot meal, £1.00 for trips to Fairford or Cirencester, £2.00 to Swindon and £4.00 to Cheltenham, plus any parking charges. Other services are free. |
