Comment: | The Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA), a registered charity, exists to help all ex-Royal Air Force Personnel and their families. People do NOT have to be members of RAFA to receive help. Club activities include Luncheon Club on the second Wednesday in the month. Hot snacks are available at lunch times from Monday to Friday and roast dinners are available from £1.90 between 12 noon and 1:15pm from Tuesdays to Fridays. Dances are held only on last Saturday in the month.The club is open daily from mid-day to 2:30pm and from 7:00pm to 11:00pm in the evenings (open until midnight on a Saturday).

The Royal Air Forces Association provides short breaks (one or two weeks) convalescence / respite care for ex RAF personnel, their spouses and dependent children. The Royal Air Forces Association Welfare Officer is the local agent for the RAF benevolent fund. The fund may help those who have financial problems - or needing stairlifts, electric scooters, home repairs, decorations, etc. |
