Sheppard House Day Centre is a purpose built centre open five days a week offering day care facilities for older, frail people and people with disabilities. A range of social activities is organised for clients including crafts, games, and bingo. Outings are also arranged on a regular basis. Coffee and biscuits are served in the morning, as well as afternoon tea and cakes. A lunch time meal is also provided. Assisted bathing is also offered. For further information about Sheppard House Day Centre, contact Ms. Meek-Williams. Private clients are charged £15.00 per day, which includes lunch and transport.
The Newent Association for the Disabled (see separate record) also operates the Newent Dial-a-Ride and Voluntary Car Service (see separate record).
