Comment: | The Alchemy Foundation has since 1985 received royalties from American productions of musicals written by Richard Stilgoe. Grant decisions are taken by the correspondent, Annabel Stilgoe. All giving is to or through other registered charities, and is concentrated in the following areas:
1. The Orpheus Centre (see separate record);
2. Water projects in the developing world;
3. Disability - particularly mobility, access, helplines and communications;
4. Social welfare - inner city projects;
5. Penal reform - work with young prisoners and their families;
6. Medical aid, especially in the areas of blindness and disfigurement;
7. Respite for carers.
Applications from individuals will only be considered for worthwhile and enterprising voluntary work in the developing world under the auspices of Raleigh International or The Project Trust. |
