Organisation:Over-Count Drugs Information Agency

Comment:

Over-Count is a support organisation for anyone who thinks that they, or someone they care for, may have an addiction to over-the-counter drugs. Any drug (generally painkillers) that contains codeine, paracetamol and/or caffeine can become addictive if taken regularly, in large quantities and this can adversely affect peoples health. The web site contains a lot of information, including frequently-asked-questions and advice regarding slowly reducing ones intake of the drugs. Advice and information is also available by phone or email. The Helpline on 01387-770404 is open 7:00 to 10:00pm on Tuesday evening only. Calls to the Helpline are charged for at the standard rate.
Individually designed structured withdrawal programmes are available on request. Medical notes to accompany withdrawal programmes can be supplied, also on request.
