Organisation:Down's Syndrome Scotland

Comment:

Down's Syndrome Scotland is the only charitable organisation in Scotland catering specifically for people with Down's Syndrome and their families. There are ten regional branches throughout Scotland. The branches and the National Committee are all run by volunteers including adults with Down's syndrome. The staff at the national office provide information and practical advice to individuals, give administrative support to the branches, co-ordinate national activities and liaise with other organisations and professionals. Down's Syndrome Scotland produce their own literature and resources that are available on request. Close links are maintained with the English DSA.
